Corporate-Driven Programs

We support charitable organizations whose initiatives align with the United Nations SDGs. Our various charitable endeavors enhance the communities where our employees live and work.

After School Advantage Program

Since 1999, we have brightened the lives of young people through our flagship community initiative, the After School Advantage (ASA) program. ASA technology labs in communities worldwide provide students access to science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) educational opportunities, helping them develop the knowledge and skills for future success.

Brightstar Lottery’s ASA program provides non-profit community agencies with digital learning centers, addressing the evolving needs of today’s young people.

Proposals are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. Please be concise and use the After School Advantage Proposal Guidelines when constructing your proposal.

Charitable Contributions

Brightstar’s Social Impact Committee (SIC) oversees our charitable giving programs by reviewing and approving community projects.

All charitable contribution and sponsorship requests (including in-kind contributions, such as the provision of equipment, offices, office supplies, and employee time) follow the same process:

  • All requests should be submitted via the online charitable application process.
  • Requests will be evaluated by the SIC, which will meet at least quarterly.
  • The SIC will respond to all formal requests via email.

Requests will be evaluated based on a set of criteria, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • All organizations seeking sponsorship or funding must be verifiable charitable, non-profit, tax-exempt, and/or registered charities or public service organizations (501c3, NGO, etc.) in the countries where Brightstar operates.
  • Organizations seeking a charitable donation or sponsorship must comply with all applicable laws, including jurisdictional laws regulating charitable donations and sponsorships.
  • Outside the United States, applicants must be registered charities, and the applicable charitable tax code and supporting documentation must be included in the application.
  • All sponsorships and charitable contributions will align with Brightstar's sustainability priorities, which correspond with 9 SDGs.
  • All sponsorships and charitable contributions are subject to funding availability.
  • Requests from organizations that discriminate based on age, sex, race, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, or disability with respect to employment, volunteer participation, or the provision of services will not be considered.
  • Requests for in-kind contributions, including but not limited to the provision of equipment, offices, office supplies, and employee time, will be covered by these guidelines.
  • Brightstar does not support pageants, contests, or individuals.
  • In general, Brightstar does not support capital campaigns.
  • Requests that include events should be submitted at least 90 days before the first event.
