Brightstar Achieves Lauded World Lottery Association Security Control Standard

Brightstar Lottery was recently awarded one of the lottery industry’s most prestigious security certifications: World Lottery Association’s Security Control Standard (WLA-SCS) Level 2.

To earn this designation, Brightstar had to comply with requirements of the ISO/IEC 27001 as well as additional, lottery-focused security requirements imposed by the WLA. Brightstar was then audited by a WLA-approved independent assessor, 360 Advanced, Compass Rose. 

In addition to delivering assurance of our robust cyber security program, the WLA SCS certificate will make Brightstar even more attractive in most lottery procurement processes.

Michelle Carney Inducted into the Lottery Industry Hall of Fame

Michelle Carney, Brightstar Lottery Vice President, Global Lottery Marketing was named to the Lottery Industry Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2025. The Lottery Industry Hall of Fame was founded by the Public Gaming Research Institute (PGRI) in 2005 as a means of honoring those who have done the most to make the lottery industry the great success that it is today. Membership is reserved for lottery professionals who have promoted excellence and integrity throughout their careers. Each year, former inductees nominate and vote on the final recipients.
